A lady with back pain who can hear her coffee brewing!
A few years ago, a lady in her mid 70’s came limping into the office with extreme pain. She worked next door to my office in Livermore, and had never been to see a chiropractor before. When we sat down to talk about her injury, she explained how her lower back and hip was in extreme pain for bending over and lifting repetitively. We examined her, took X-rays like any other case and then began to adjust her subluxations. The first adjustment was scary for both of us. She screamed of horror when I adjusted her lower back at 5:30 pm when the office was completely full. I think everyone was scared to get adjusted after that.
The next morning the lady came back in to get her second adjustment. The first thing she said to me I would never forget was, “You, you, young lady, I am not sure what you did to me….” I think my face went pale in fear of her telling me she was worse or couldn’t walk. Instead she finished her sentence, “I am not sure what you did to me but, after you popped my back and neck yesterday, today was the first time in several years, that I could hear the coffee brewing in my right ear!”
What a miracle! She came in for back pain, but also had improvement in her hearing which was not even her complaint!
I have stories of miracles on a daily basis with patients. They really are not miracles when the body is understood and Chiropractic is understood. Since the nervous system controls the body, getting the spine adjusted into proper position will allow optimal functioning of the nerves and therefore the body.
