Are you get the best golf swing out of your spine?
Today at the Sonebrae Classic in Hayward, I had the opportunity to meet some of the players of the PGA tour. The reason I was a hot ticket item, was that I have a booth at the event where I am checking spines and working on some of the players who need treatments.
One of the players recognized me immediately from the PGA tour at Wente Vineyards last year and told me how thrilled he was to see me. He went on to tell me how after I re-aligned his spine last year, his swing improved greatly for his game. I was honored by the great compliment and in being able to play a role in his improved golf swing. A lot of my patients who play golf share similar experiences where getting their spine adjusted helps to improve their golf swing. How does this really work?
Adjusting the spine really isn’t a magic trick. What really takes place is the spine out of proper alignment will prohibit the full range of motion. If the range of motion is restricted, it interferes with movement of the body and muscles will tighten around mis-alinged vertebra causing further stiffness and reduced range of motion. When proper motion and alignment is restored by a chiropractic adjustment, it will increase the range of motion of the spine and allow muscles to relax. This is what will give golfers a better swing with more ease, power and vitality.
Taking care of the health of the spine is a must with the pro-golfers as they all have chiropractors and rush to see one in between games!
