Nuts and Weightloss

Are you eating enough nuts to stay slim?

Many people are afraid of eating nuts as they are a calorie and fat dense food. However, certain nuts (peanuts, almonds and chestnuts) have shown to have great affects on the bodies’ ability to use fat storage. Burning up the fat we have on our body, is a key factor to keeping healthy and slim. The great thing about nuts is that the fat in the nuts are the good kind our bodies need to build hormones and nerve tissue and not the type that causes heart problems and weight gain. Nuts are packed with energy where certain studies have shown that almonds, peanuts and chestnuts cause the body to become full faster preventing us from overeating and also allow the body to start utilizing the calories in nuts as fuel instead of storage.

Because nuts contain good fats and protein, it would be a great idea to consume a moderate portion as a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack as part of your healthy diet.
